Those who predicted yesterday’s release of The Dark Knight Rises’ official movie poster was the last — just don’t know how Warner Bros. rolls. The studio continued its wave of promotion today with a slew of new artwork, releasing posters for each of the film’s three main characters. The first set features Christian Bale‘s Batman, Anne Hathaway‘s Catwoman and Tom Hardy‘s Bane — individually caught in a horrific rainstorm while the title “Rise” boldly lingers over their heads. The second set features the three characters looking considerably more thoughtful, standing in a snowfall while the trilogy’s approaching conclusion is highlighted with the tag “The Legend Ends.” The poster of Hathaway’s Selina Kyle in this set is particularly breathtaking. Despite the constant promotion, so much is still unknown about the film’s premise, but if the poster’s tagline is any indicator, could our hero meet his untimely end in the finale? Is that why The Legend Ends?
