Warner Bros. has released of a pair of “leaked CIA documents” from The Dark Knight Rises regarding a character named Dr. Leonid Pavel. Actor Alon Abutbul is shown in the mugshot, with an accompanying document which is a transcript between a CIA official and a militia unit who are negotiating handing the doctor over into their custody for $3 million. After doing some research, we’ve discovered Dr. Leonid Pavel is a Russian nuclear physicist who has developed a bomb that Bane (Tom Hardy) and his group are after. Afraid for his life, Pavel has gone underground but wants political asylum in the States. The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale as Batman, opens July 20, 2012.
