Finally some light has been shed on The Dark Knight Rises. The company FilmCells will be selling plaques containing film from Christopher Nolan’s closing chapter to the Batman trilogy. The product description gives us some insight into the story of the upcoming movie by listing the following: “When Commissioner Gordon stumbles upon a plot to destroy the city from within, Bruce Wayne gets back into action as the Batman. Waiting for him is the mysterious Selina Kyle and Bane, a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batman’s legacy piece by piece.”

It has been suggested by websites like comicbookmovie.com that the plot Gordon stumbles upon involves Bane’s creating a doomsday weapon capable of causing an earthquake in Gotham City. A similar idea was used in the Batman graphic novel No Man’s Land. Further credence to this theory may be lent in the working title. Magnus-Rex, as the movie was known in its pre-production stage, is also the name of a Norwegian experiment that deals with seismic activity. It seems like Bane is really going to shake things up for Batman in the upcoming movie this summer.
